Kellie Pickler Comes Home to North Carolina

Famed Albemarle songstress, Kellie Pickler, is coming home to North Carolina during NASCAR’s All-Star weekend for a free concert at Whisky River on Thursday, May 17.

A lifelong student of country music, Pickler is a fan of legends like Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard, as well as modern-day talents Jamey Johnson and Lee Ann Womack. The lessons she draws from them have become part of her artistic make-up.

Pickler is known for her chart-topping hits “Tough,” “Red High Heels” and “I Wonder.” Kellie won three 2008 CMT Music Awards, received two ASCAP awards and two of her albums have debuted at No. 1 country and Top Ten overall in Billboard.

The free concert is first come, first entry until capacity. Doors open at 5 p.m. for the Whisky River Race Week Pit Crew Challenge After Party and Kellie will take the stage at 10 p.m. Twenty-one and up are welcome.

Whisky River is located at EpiCentre, 210 E Trade Street in the heart of uptown Charlotte.
