Breaking Bad Actor Comes to Alive After Five
Known best as Walt Jr. from Emmy and Golden Globe winning show “Breaking Bad,” actor RJ Mitte will host a Meet and Greet appearance at Alive After Five on Thursday, May 22, to help raise funds for Shriners Hospitals for Children.
The Meet and Greet will start at 7 p.m. inside [location here] at EPICENTRE. General tickets are $25 and include a personalized autograph and photo opportunity. VIP tickets are also available for $35 and include a personalized autograph, photo opportunity and access to the front of line. Those looking for a more of a personal experience, a private dinner will be held at [time] inside BlackFinn, with tickets starting at $100. At the age of 3, Mitte was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, a neurological condition that affects muscle tone, movement and coordination. He was referred to the Shriners Hospital for Children in Shreveport, LA. Mitte was treated by the medical experts and physical therapy specialists at Shriners Hospitals for Children for most of his childhood, and as a result, overcame many of the physical and verbal effects of cerebral palsy. Earlier this year, Mitte was named Love to Ambassador™ as part of Shriner’s Love to the rescue® campaign initiative. It is in this same effort that Mitte will be visiting the Charlotte region to raise funds for Shriner’s Hospital for Children.

He will be speaking to the Lake Norman High School drama class and act alongside the high school’s improv group for a special performance, Lake Norman Live. Mitte is best known for his role as Walter “Flynn” White Jr. on the AMC series “Breaking Bad”. The show was awarded Best Drama at the 2014 Golden Globes and Best Ensemble at the 2014 SAG Award. After moving to Hollywood in 2006, Mitte began his acting career with several appearances as an extra on “Hannah Montana,” “7th Heaven” and “Weeds”. In addition to being featured in the 2014 worldwide GAP campaign, Mitte currently appears on ABC Family’s “Switched at Birth,” starring opposite of the series lead.
